The 2015 Unitec Charity Golf day was held this year at the beautiful Maungakiekie Golf Club on 4 December 2015.
It was a great day of golf and while a couple of rain clouds threatened to put a damper on things, they managed to leave just in time for tee off. Popular golf pro Marcus Wheelhouse was on hand for expert guidance and RDT Pacific managed to field not just one team of four, but two.
The day’s activities, from teeing off, partaking in the course challenges and bidding in the charity auction, raised $30,000 for the Men’s Health Trust who continually encourage healthier lifestyle choices for men. The Trust even offered free health checks for chaps on the day. As a result of the event, Unitec was able to provide $5,000 for Unitec Master of Architecture student, Jeff Paterson who is battling melanoma.
RDT Pacific was a major sponsor of the day, along with a range of local businesses, including those we are working with on the Unitec transformation: Tattico, Mainline Construction, Aurecon, Structus Consulting, and Stapleton Elliot.
