Wynyard 100 – Mixed Use Development
Located in Wynyard Quarter Area 2, Wynyard 100 is the exemplary Mixed Used Development reconfiguring the original NZ Bus Maintenance facility.
The architectural concept draws from contemporary and past uses of the site, embracing the notion that new activities can be inserted into the urban fabric, successfully establishing a dialogue with the existing built environment.
RDT Pacific is providing Project Management services for the development.
The project is based on a constrained, inner-city site, requiring a tightly driven programme to reduce the impact of construction on the public.
Redevelopment of the existing NZ Bus site at 100 Halsey Street, will take place while remaining fully operational on site.
The project is being completed in two stages:
Reconfiguration of NZ Bus operations on the site, including moving the bus wash and fuelling station, reorientation of the bus staging area and minor improvements to the existing bus workshops and yards.
New 20,000m2 building comprising of a seven storey 385 space carpark building 16,500m2 with ground floor retail 2,500m2, wrapped on east and north facades with 120 key 4-star hotel facility 3,600m2.
The mixed-use nature of the project has resulted in significant stakeholder groups, each with differing interests. RDT Pacific has held extensive stakeholder engagement sessions at the front end of the project, to ensure all needs are captured and met.
