Courting justice in Manukau
Construction is underway on a $34 million development project for Manukau District Court. RDT Pacific is working alongside the Ministry of Justice as Project Manager and Engineer to the Contract to deliver this significant development to support the people of Manukau.
“This project is responding to predicted demand from a rapidly increasing South Auckland population to future-proof court services and provide a more supportive environment for all court users, including staff, victims and whānau,” says RDT Pacific Director, David Prentice.
RDT Pacific has had a long and healthy relationship with Manukau District Court, working alongside the Ministry of Justice.
“We project managed the $51 million redevelopment of the precinct, completed in 2017, which comprised the construction of a new building wing incorporating a shell floor for this expansion, an additional courtroom and support spaces,” David says.
“We’re looking forward to working with the Watts & Hughes Construction team to complete this stage of the project to fitout the shell floor and refit and extend the original wing of the building.”
RDT Pacific is also working alongside the Ministry of Justice on a range of broader outcomes, including the delivery of sustainability advisory services.
