Mike Shin

Mike is an enthusiastic and capable Quantity Surveyor with strong exposure to a wide range of cost management tasks across multiple sectors in New Zealand and the Pacific.

In recent years he has been actively involved in preparing cost plans, conducting tender analysis, assessing payment claims and variations, and supporting contractor negotiations.

Mike also has extensive experience in insurance rebuild valuations, where he verifies property details, sources current market-rate data, and applies it to prepare accurate valuations for insurance providers. Most recently he played a key role in the College & Mason development, a high-specification residential project in Auckland comprising terraced homes and apartments, where his responsibilities spanned measurement, cost estimation, bill of quantities preparation, tender assessment, contract administration, expenditure tracking, and site-based cost reporting.

Mike brings the following strengths to his work:
