Mike Taylor
Mike is a seasoned property professional with 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. Initially coming from an architectural background and having worked as both a main contractor and as a project management consultant, Mike brings a unique blend of design insight, contractor expertise and project management leadership to his projects. His career spans both the public and private sectors, with a strong focus on strategic planning and project delivery.
Mike’s leadership in commercial construction has consistently resulted in successful project outcomes, driven by his strengths in stakeholder engagement, team management, and collaborative problem-solving. He understands that effective project delivery hinges on balancing the needs of all parties, negotiating fair outcomes, and fostering a unified team approach.
Mike is the Southern Region Lead for RDT Pacific and part of the company’s Senior Leadership Team. In this role he is and responsible for leading and developing people, overseeing projects, providing Engineer to Contract services and driving successful outcomes for our clients across the South Island. He also chairs the RDT Pacific Health, Safety and Wellbeing Leadership Group, reflecting his commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Prior to joining RDT Pacific, Mike was a Director at Taylor Coleman, a respected project and development management consultancy in the Waikato. He also held senior management roles with Greenstone Group and Arrow International.
