When Arnott’s Group returned to Aotearoa New Zealand after 25 years to open a brand new 4,000 m² production facility in Avondale, they engaged RDT Pacific as Project Manager for the new build.

The scope of the project encompassed the fitout of Arnott’s new, agile facility, which included the food production area, warehouse and plant area, as well as amenities and circulation areas.

The Project Management team demonstrated a proactive and practical approach to problem-solving, which led to the development of innovative solutions that ensured the best outcome for Arnott’s.

Navigating the subtle yet contrasting variations in New Zealand compliance standards compared to those in Australia for our Australian clients was a key factor throughout the design and construction phases of this multi-million dollar manufacturing facility.

A challenge for the successful delivery of the project included mitigating long lead items such as structural steel required to support fit out panels in the production areas and mechanical plant units required to ventilate oven rooms, washrooms and production rooms.
