55 Corinthian Drive Albany

RDT Pacific provided Quantity Surveying, Cost Management and Engineer to the Contract services for 55 Corinthian Drive. The building is a landmark development in the heart of Albany’s fast-growing commercial business hub.

The site features approximately 6,000 m² of office and atrium space and approximately 665 m² of retail and café space on the ground floor, with a standalone car park building consisting of 248 car park spaces and 30 ground level parking spaces. The building features a stunning atrium entranceway, servicing three lifts to the five car park floors and three office levels.

The use of concrete as the construction system reduces the number of required structural columns and adds to the number of car parks created, a near column-less design.

On the ground floor, the unique cantilevered high spec retail zone leads directly onto the light filled atrium, providing a multi-purpose open-plan space for people to gather, meet and pass through. The generous café/retail area provides space for outdoor seating and the opportunity to operate independently, with extended hours.

The building’s design provides optimal operational efficiencies, such as glazing to provide an influx of natural light. This project encompasses a 5 Green Star NZGBC rated design and build methodology and ensures high levels of natural light and fresh air.

The building has great end of trip facilities with 74 bike parks along with lockers, showers and changing room areas for staff who choose to cycle. In addition, rainwater is captured and recycled to minimise water usage.
